Driver loses control, strikes power pole, leaving three dead in Jefferson Co. wreck

JEFFERSON CO. (AP) — Three people have died in a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Hebron in Jefferson County of southern Wisconsin.

Jefferson County Sheriff Paul Milbrath says in a statement that it was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday on County Highway D just south of Pine Dr. He says the preliminary investigation at the scene and a witness statement indicate the vehicle was southbound when it lost control going around a curve and struck a power pole.

All three people in the vehicle died at the scene.

Names of the victims have not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
