"Goat Gives Back:" Local brew pub teams up with Stars and Stripes Honor Flight

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A popular Milwaukee-area brew pub teamed up with the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

The Horny Goat hosted 30 veterans and hundreds of volunteers as part of their "Goat Gives Back" program.

They raffled off a brand new Harley-Davidson, and donated five percent of proceeds from Sunday, August 24th.

The Honor Flight flies World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorials.

"They're the older gentleman down the street, or the older lady that moves a little slower. And I think that when people stop and think about what that generation did for us, they're anxious to thank them and this is our great way of doing it," Karyn Roelke with the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight said.

There will be three Honor Flights from southeastern Wisconsin this fall.

On September 13th, 70 World War II veterans will make the trip to D.C.
