A naughty groom? Men left bloodied, three arrested after wedding reception degenerates into melee

PENNSYLVANIA (WITI) -- It was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives -- but a Labor Day weekend wedding quickly degenerated into chaos and violence -- and three men were arrested, including the groom! KDKA -- CBS Pittsburgh reports it was the actions of the groom that allegedly led to the melee.

Pittsburgh police say a fight involving people in a wedding party broke out just before 1:00 a.m. Monday, September 1st.

Police arriving at the scene found two men covered in blood.

A woman who works at the venue where the reception was held told police the 33-year-old groom was being "touchy feely" with her while she was working. The woman reportedly told her boyfriend the groom tried to pour alcohol down her throat even though she told him she was pregnant.

This, according to KDKA -- CBS Pittsburgh.

KDKA reports the woman called her boyfriend to come pick her up.

When he arrived, he allegedly confronted the groom and that's when the physical altercation began.

KDKA says the groom's brother got involved -- and became aggressive with police.

A fourth man punched his hand through the front passenger window of a car and was taken to the hospital, according to KDKA. KDKA reports this man is a school board member. He allegedly yelled that he is HIV positive as he tried to resist arrest.

That man, the groom and the groom's brother were taken to jail.

KDKA reports the groom's brother is a Pennsylvania State Trooper. He was off-duty at the time of the incident, but the Pennsylvania State Patrol tells KDKA it is investigating.
