Dump truck driver's medical emergency leads to series of crashes in Kenosha

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Kenosha police say a dump truck driver suffered a medical emergency -- triggering a series of crashes on Tuesday afternoon, September 2nd.

It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Police tell FOX6 News the dump truck's driver suffered a medical emergency between 52nd and 60th streets and struck a vehicle. That vehicle then hit a Kenosha County Sheriff's deputy's squad car. That deputy wasn't injured.

The dump truck's driver then proceeded to travel an additional eight blocks -- hitting five to eight additional vehicles.

We're told the dump truck is registered to the Village of Pleasant Prairie.

At this time, minor injuries have been reported.

The condition of the dump truck driver isn't known at this time.
