Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, police called out to standoff

WAUKESHA (WITI) — The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department dispatched its armored vehicle and a K-9 unit to the scene of a standoff occurring Monday evening, September 8th.

It was taking place in the area of Waterview Lane and Haymarket Road in Waukesha.

Police say a 45-year-old man was inside an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Haymarket Road.

Police say the man ended up coming out of the apartment complex on his own, and he was taken into custody without incident.

No one was injured, and no one was evacuated.

Officials were called out to the scene around 6:00 p.m.
