With victim's help, Milwaukee police arrested two wanted suspects

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- With help from a victim, the Milwaukee Police Department arrested two suspects wanted for attempted armed robbery.

Officers from District 3 were dispatched to the neighborhood near Teutonia and North Ave. around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 18th. At the scene, they were met by the victim, a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman, who pointed out a group of suspects, among those two who she said tried to rob her.

Two suspects, both 17-year-old males from Milwaukee, were taken into custody for attempted armed robbery. One of those suspects had a facsimile gun in his waistband. Two additional individuals, a 17-year-old male and a 17-year-old female from Milwaukee, were issued citations for loitering.

The victim told police she was walking in the neighborhood when the two attempted armed robbery suspects came up to her and demanded her purse. The suspects then began to chase the victim. The victim was able to get away and call police and help them identify the suspects.

MPD will present the attempted armed robbery charges in the coming days to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
