Trooper stops vehicle traveling at 99mph on I-94, over 100 grams of marijuana recovered

KENOSHA COUNTY (WITI) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol says 112 grams of marijuana were recovered from a vehicle that was traveling at 99 miles-per-hour on I-94.

A state trooper stopped the vehicle, and due to observations made by that trooper, a Kenosha County Sheriff's deputy responded to the scene with a K9 unit.

The vehicle's driver gave authorities consent to search the vehicle, and the deputy located approximately 112 grams of marijuana inside a baby stroller box in the backseat. The driver then fled across all eight lanes of I-94 before the driver was taken into custody on West Frontage Road.

The State Patrol says the driver is from Kenosha -- and that driver is being held at the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department on charges of felony possession of marijuana, obstructing, speeding and operating while suspended, fifth offense.
