American Red Cross assisting two people following house fire in Oconomowoc

OCONOMOWOC (WITI) -- Fire officials were called to a house fire near Maple and South in Oconomowoc on Sunday, September 28th.

Crews were dispatched to the scene shortly before 11 p.m.

Fire officials tell FOX6 News it appears the fire started on the second floor exterior porch and then spread to the home.

Three rooms in the home were heavily damaged.

Officials say the fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage to the structure and contents.

The Red Cross is assisting two displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
