MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) — South Shore Fire officials say a man had to be transported to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life after he fell from a roof on Wednesday afternoon, October 1st.

It happened in the 3400 block of Sherwood Street in the Village of Mount Pleasant, just after noon.

Upon their arrival at the scene, South Shore Fire officials found a 35-year-old man who had fallen off the roof of a single-story home — landing on a concrete walk in front of the house.

Fire officials say the injured man was a contractor who had been hired by the homeowners to do work on the home’s roof.

The 35-year-old man suffered significant injuries, and Flight for Life was called to take the man to Froedtert Hospital. Flight for Life landed at South Shore Fire Department Station 8 — located about six blocks from the accident location.
