Accused of threatening Governor Walker's son on Twitter, Robert Peffer expected to plead guilty

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- A Milwaukee man, accused of threatening Governor Scott Walker's son on Twitter is expected to plead guilty in the case against him.

31-year-old Robert Peffer faces four misdemeanor charges in the case -- three for a threatening computer message containing obscenity, and one for a threatening computer message that threatens injury or harm.

During a court appearance on Thursday, October 2nd, Peffer's attorney requested a date in January, when it is expected Peffer will plead guilty.

A plea/sentencing hearing has been scheduled for January 12th, 2015.

Peffer, who signed a Scott Walker recall petition, allegedly sent 36 separate Twitter messages to Governor Walker's son, Matt that included sexually aggressive language, racial slurs and even promises of physical activity.

A criminal complaint says Peffer hid behind the name "Prince Peffer Jr."

Matt Walker is a student at Marquette University. He serves as the head of the Wisconsin Federation of College Republicans.

The threats were condemned by Democratic candidate for governor Mary Burke.

Peffer has previously been investigated for threatening the president.
