Admirals owner, Roscoe give details on the team's season opener

The Milwaukee Admirals commence their 38th professional season on Friday night, October 10th when they host the Charlotte Checkers at 7:00 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. This is the first time in the past four seasons that the team has started at home and just the third time in the past 10 years.

All fans in attendance will take home an Admirals magnet schedule, courtesy of OxiClean and Pick N’ Save. The national anthem will be performed by Forest Park Middle School Band of Franklin, while Cub Scouts from the Three Harbors Council will present the colors.

The Admirals will feature a young, but skilled roster this season, as 13 different players will be skating in their first pro season in North America. That young group will be helped along by the veteran presence of defenseman and Antigo native Joe Piskula and forwards Mark Van Guilder and Triston Grant, all three of whom have played in over 390 professional games.

The Admirals office will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday and Friday and is located at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave, in the basement of the Milwaukee Theatre.

Fans can purchase tickets for opening night, or any Admirals game, by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by logging onto www.ticketmaster.com.

Groups of 10 or more receive significant discounts off the original ticket price.

Admirals owner Harris Tuner and Roscoe, the Admirals mascot, joined FOX6 WakeUp to talk about the upcoming match-up and season.
