Jurassic Park kicks off Sci-Fi Film Festival

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- This summer, the Milwaukee Public Museum asked their fans to help them choose 5 films for their Sci-Fi Film Festival. The results are in, and the first films of the series are set!

MPM's Sci-Fi Film Fest will begin on October 23rd with "Jurassic Park," and run through November 29th, with showings on Thursday and Saturday evenings.

Milwaukee Public Museum still needs your help with one last film. They want to know which film you consider the "biggest sci-fi turkey of all time!" They're looking for a b-movie doozy to cap off their series, and the winning turkey will be shown on November 29th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Suggestions will be taken at the Dome Theater and online at mpm.edu between October 23rd, and November 6th. On November 8, MPM will release information on which "turkey" will receive the "presidential pardon" of their new president and CEO, Dennis Kois, and show on the Dome Theater screen as the fest's final film.

Film Fest tickets are $5 per person, with soft drinks, beer, space-age cocktails, snacks and b-movie souvenirs available for purchase. Tickets are also available online at mpm.edu, by phone at (414)278-2728, or at the Museum box office.
