LAYOFFS: 150 workers to be impacted at Case IH plant in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- The Case IH plant in Mount Pleasant will lay off 150 employees on December 1st.

The head of the union for the 850 workers at the "CNH Industrial" plant in Mount Pleasant confirmed the impending layoffs to the Racine Journal Times.

Case IH makes agricultural equipment at the factory.

The union president says Case IH is shutting down second-shift tractor production and reducing production as the industry faces a slowdown.

The factory is located at 7000 Durand Avenue in Mount Pleasant.
