Police: Convicted felon, whom witnesses say was armed, shot & injured near 70th & Capitol

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say a convicted felon was shot and injured on Monday morning, November 10th.

It happened in the 7000 block of W. Capitol Drive around 10:00 a.m.

Police say the 18-year-old man was shot during an altercation with a suspect -- fleeing from the scene after he was shot.

The victim was taken into custody by police after a brief foot pursuit -- and police say he is not cooperating with the investigation.

Police say witnesses have indicated the victim was armed with a gun at the time of the shooting.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was taken into custody for a probation violation.
