Football fan runs into traffic, tries to hurdle a taxi

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Nebraska football fan is nursing an injured face after he tried to hurdle a taxi in Madison.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports 22-year-old Bryce Consbruck of Nebraska was in town to watch the Cornhuskers take on Wisconsin at Camp Randall Saturday afternoon.

Police said Consbruck was in downtown Madison around 2 a.m. Saturday when he ran into traffic and tried to leap over the taxi. He missed and hurt his face.

Officers cited him for sudden pedestrian movement. He responded with a profanity-laced statement expressing his hope that the Cornhuskers would defeat the Badgers and promising he'd never try to leap a moving car again.

Police described him as intoxicated and sent him to a hospital for treatment.
