Gas leak on N. 30th Street leads MFD officials to evacuate some residents

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Crews are on the scene of a gas leak occurring in the 2800 block of N. 30th Street — and some residents have been evacuated.

Some living in the area loaded up on a city bus, and they’ve been taken to a temporary shelter.

A We Energies spokesman says the gas leak occurred when Milwaukee Water Works officials hit a gas line. We Energies crews are at the scene working on the leak.
