Two people shot, wounded in separate incidents in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shooting incidents that happened early Saturday, August 15th.

The first shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. near 24th and Burleigh. Officials say a 21-year-old man suffered a non-life threatening injury -- and is being treated at a hospital. The victim told officers he was walking in the neighborhood when someone in a dark-colored vehicle confronted and fired a shot at him. There are no suspects in custody.

Then around 2:30 a.m., a 52-year-old woman was shot and wounded in the neighborhood near Chambers and N. MLK Jr. Drive. Preliminary information indicates there was some type of dispute and an unknown actor fired shots striking the victim. There are no suspects in custody.
