Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch to lead trade trip to China

MADISON (AP) — Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch is set to travel to China for a 10-day trade mission.

Kleefisch is set to leave Saturday and return on Dec. 16. She'll travel with a bipartisan delegation that includes lawmakers form Washington state, New York, Colorado, Kansas.

The group is set to visit Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai and meet with various government ministries, officials from a number of Chinese business associations, government officials and scholars. Kleefisch's office sys the trip will give her a firsthand look at the opportunities in China that will help Wisconsin businesses operating in or considering expanding operations in that country.

The Hong Kong-based China-United States Exchange Foundation is covering the cost of Kleefisch's trip.
