Alert neighbor calls 911, fire damages two apartment units, damage estimate at $60K

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee firefighters on Tuesday afternoon, December 9th were on the scene of a fire occurring in a four-unit apartment building in the 5900 block of N. Lovers Lane Road.

A Milwaukee Fire Department Battalion Chief tells FOX6 News it appears the fire started in a downstairs unit and spread to the second downstairs unit.

No one was home at the time of the fire. We’re told a neighbor saw the fire and called 911.

The Milwaukee Fire Department and Wauwatosa Fire Department responded to the scene.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within about 20 minutes.

An preliminary estimate is that the fire caused $60,000 in damage.
