Medical Examiner: Body pulled from Milwaukee River is that of 21-year-old whom witness said "jumped"

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Members of the Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee Fire Department on Thursday, December 11th were called out to the area of Broadway and Erie -- where a deceased person was pulled from the Milwaukee River.

Crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 2:00 p.m.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office was dispatched to the scene. The Medical Examiner's Office says the body is that of a male.

The Medical Examiner's Office tells FOX6 News the body is that of a 21-year-old man whom witnesses said "jumped" into the Milwaukee River on November 5th and began swimming. His identity hasn't yet been released.

An autopsy is planned for Friday.
