Two hurt after driver loses control of milk truck, overturns and strikes car

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- Walworth County authorities are investigating a rollover crash that happened on Highway 20 in the Town of Troy early on Thursday, December 18th. The crash happened near County Highway J just after 8 a.m.

Officials say the driver of a milk hauler semi was westbound on Hwy. 20. The 62-year-old driver was negotiating a curve, lost control and overturned the truck. In the process, it struck a car going the opposite direction.

The car went into the ditch where it also overturned. The driver of the car is a 56-year-old Whitewater woman.

Both of the drivers were trapped in their vehicles -- and required extrication. Neither suffered non-life threatening injuries -- and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The Walworth County Crash Investigation Unit was called to the scene and a stretch of Hwy. 20 was closed for about six hours.
