"I'm that guy:" Shoppers flock to Bayshore Town Center to grab those last-minute Christmas gifts!

GLENDALE (WITI) -- On Christmas Eve, the procrastinators were out -- racing against the clock to find and purchase those last-minute gifts, with just hours to go until Christmas.

Bayshore Town Center was set to close at 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve, but before that, the mall was busy!

"I'm that guy," Brandon Rindfleisch said.

Some shoppers like Brandon Rindfleish own the procrastinator title. Rindfleisch says he focuses on formulating a plan of attack.

"First step was bread -- got that. Second step: gift cards. Third step: food gifts from Trader Joe's. BAM!" Rindfleisch said.

Others found themselves to be last-minute shoppers by accident.

"We usually do it earlier," Lily and Simon Langhoff said.

Lily and Simon Langhoff were asked by their father to help find a present for Mom.

"We're pretty busy because four days after Christmas we're going to Florida for a week and then we have to plan that," Lily and Simon Langhoff said.

Greg Fojtik told FOX6 News it doesn't count as last-minute shopping until it's literally closing time.

"The last minute. The last sixty seconds," Fojtik said.

At Bayshore Town Center, many stores were offering final Christmas clearance prices, meaning it may actually pay off to wait until the tail end of the holiday season to do that shopping.

"We have some family after Christmas, so we're going to go out and shop for them -- maybe get some extra deals after Christmas as well," Carol Rausch said.

A FOX6 News crew saw one person buying their Christmas tree on Christmas Eve! Talk about last-minute shopping!
