Police: Two wounded in separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened outside of a Little Caesar's restaurant on Wednesday evening, December 31st.

Officials say the shooting happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Oakland Ave. just a block south of Locust. At this point, it appears the 22-year-old male victim was shot while exchanging gunfire with another group of males on the street.

The victim from Milwaukee was transported to a hospital by an unknown party and is currently being treated for a serious wound.

Police say the victim is uncooperative.



Milwaukee police are also investigating a shooting that happened near Center and Holtonaround 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 1st.

The victim is a 15-year-old girl from Milwaukee. She was shot by what police believe to be a known subject who fled the scene on foot after the shooting.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of a serious wound.
