Admirals snap seven-game losing streak with 4-1 victory over Bulldogs

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Brendan Leipsic tallied three assists, while Viktor Arvidsson added a goal and an assist as the Admirals snapped a seven-game home losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Milwaukee hadn't won a home game since November 26th and hadn't scored on the power-play at home since November 21.

However, Joe Pendenza snapped that 0-for-32 power-play slump when he put the Ads up 1-0 at 14:06 of the first period. After a number of good scoring chances on the PP, Pendenza found the rebound of an Arvidsson and roofed it past Hamilton goalie Joey MacDonald.

The Admirals pushed their lead to 3-0 early in the second period when Arvidsson and Frederick Gaudreau scored just 2:04 apart. Arvidsson lit the lamp on a one timer from the bottom of the left circle off a pretty feed from Brendan Leipsic 2:06 into the second.

Then Gaudreau pounced on rebound of a Taylor Aronson shot that MacDonald failed to catch and he had a wide open net for his fourth of the season at the 4:10 mark.

Zach Budish, who was recalled earlier in the day from Cincinnati, finished the scoring off for Milwaukee at 9:25 of the third period when he snapped a wrister from the right dot that got past a screened MacDonald.
Hamilton got their only goal of the night from Drayson Bowman, who scored on the power-play with just under 10 minutes to play in the game.

Marek Mazanec earned the win tonight for the Admirals, stopping 15 of 16 shots.

The Admirals return home next Thursday night when they host the Rockford IceHogs at 7 pm.
