Police: 16-year-old driving stolen vehicle shot after dozens of bullets fired into vehicle

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say a 16-year-old boy was shot on Monday afternoon, January 5th when he was driving a stolen car.

It happened in the 2900 block of N. 13th Street around 3:15 p.m.

Police say the 16-year-old boy was driving a stolen vehicle when occupants of another vehicle fired dozens of rounds at the stolen vehicle. The boy was shot twice.

The boy was taken to the hospital. Police say they'll take him into custody after he's treated for non life-threatening wounds.

The shooting suspects haven't been identified.
