Police investigate homicide: 30-year-old man shot near 51st & Parkway Drive

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a homicide that happened outside of a home on Sunday, January 4th.

It happened at about 11:30 a.m. near N. 51st Street and W. Parkway Drive.

The victim, 30-year-old Nevelo Smith, was dropped off at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound and later died.

An 18-year-old Milwaukee man believed responsible for the homicide is in custody.
