As bitter cold lingers, Waukesha County officials launch online resource directory

WAUKESHA (WITI) – Based on forecasts, southeast Wisconsin temperatures are expected to continue to drop well below zero.  Waukesha County has launched an online resource directory for residents seeking information on how to stay safe in the cold.

If you believe your health or safety is in immediate danger, please dial 9-1-1.

Those seeking shelter from the cold or in need of other resources not provided on the website should dial 2-1-1.

This service will provide local information on available emergency shelters. Your call to 2-1-1 is free and confidential, and is available throughout Wisconsin. 2-1-1 service is available 24 hours, 7 days per week.
