SOUTH MILWAUKEE (WITI) — South Milwaukee police are seeking the suspect responsible for an attempted armed robbery at the Walmart store on N. Chicago Avenue.

It happened Wednesday, January 7th around 1:30 p.m.

Police say a male suspect fled on foot before police arrived at the scene.

An investigation has revealed nothing of value was taken from the Walmart store — but police say the suspect did display a firearm — a black handgun.

South Milwaukee police called in Cudahy police officers and a K-9 unit from Franklin PD — and they were not able to locate the suspect.

That suspect is described as a white male, standing approximately 6’3″ tall with a thin build. He was wearing a tan mask up to his nose, blue jeans, a brown coat, a red hoodie and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Milwaukee police at (414) 768-8060.
