They're friends, but Gov. Walker backs the Pack, Gov. Christie backs Dallas; and they're talking trash!

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- As the Green Bay Packers gear up to take on the Dallas Cowboys in a playoff matchup at Lambeau Field Sunday, January 11th, potential presidential rivals Governor Scott Walker and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have been talking some trash on Twitter. Governor Walker is a Packers fan, and Governor Christie is a Cowboys fan. The two have gone back and forth about Christie's now infamous jump hug.

By now, Governor Christie's jump hug of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been described a million different ways from awkward to appalling.

Governor Walker has his own description.

"It was interesting," Governor Walker said.

This week, Governor Walker had this to say on Twitter:

So was he taking a subtle swipe at a potential presidential rival?

"I know you think prospective candidates must have it out for each other, but Chris Christie is generally a friend of mine. That's why my Tweet (Wednesday) wasn't so much a dig as it was having a little fun at pointing out the difference in ownership between the Packers and any other team in the NFL," Governor Walker said.

Christie came to Wisconsin twice to campaign with Governor Walker during last year's re-election battle. This week, Governor Christie tweeted in response to Walker's photo:

"He Photoshopped himself out of the Cowboys box picture, so I said I don't know it that was so much of a dig back as it was making an awkward situation even more awkward," Governor Walker said.

Governor Walker has also directed some comments at Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo.

"We're proud of Tony Romo. He is from Burlington, Wisconsin. We're just  hopeful we're not too proud of him on Sunday," Governor Walker said.

Walker was sworn in for his second term on Monday, and reminded the audience of what followed the last time he was sworn in.

"I'm not superstitious, but four years ago I got inaugurated, and a month later we won the Super Bowl, so I'm going to take that for all that it's worth," Governor Walker said.

If that were to happen again, it would surely be worth a hug!
