"I'll give you chocolate if you get in my car:" Kenosha police looking into reported child enticement

KENOSHA (WITI) -- Kenosha police are looking into a reported child enticement incident.

The incident occurred on Monday, January 12th -- and was reported to police on Tuesday.

Police say the incident occurred just after the Edward Bain School of Language and Art on 50th Street in Kenosha had dismissed students for the day. It happened somewhere east of the school.

Two children were approached by a white man -- described as being approximately 40 years old, bald, with possible facial hair, according to police.

The suspect had exited his vehicle -- described as a navy blue minivan that may have turquoise paint on its lower portion.

Police say the man approached the children, saying: "I'll give you chocolate if you get in my car."

The children declined the offer and walked away.

Police say the children described seeing this same vehicle the next day (Tuesday).

Police say although there was no physical contact with the children, they are investigating the fact that the man did engage in conversation with the children.

They're asking that anyone who observes suspicious activity to call the Dispatch Center at 656-1234 or call 911.
