Man charged with killing two because sister was ‘sluttish,’ dad broke Xbox

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A 22-year-old Milwaukee man has been criminally charged -- accused in the stabbing deaths of his sister and his father, and court documents show he admitted to the killings. Police say Efrain Garcia-Sotelo told them he killed his father because he "was always yelling at him," and he may have broken his Xbox, and his sister because she was "sluttish."

Efrain Garcia-Sotelo faces two counts of first degree intentional homicide (use of a dangerous weapon) in the deaths of Martha Garcia and Moses Garcia-Macias.

Police were called out to the area of 20th and Lapham on Thursday night, January 15th. They found Martha Garcia's body in a bedroom closet, and the body of Moses Garcia-Macias in the kitchen.

Martha Garcia had suffered numerous lacerations to her back, neck and chest -- and Moses Garcia-Macias suffered lacerations to his chest, stomach and back.

A bloodstained green and white paring knife was located under a bloodstained pillow in the bedroom, police say.

A Medical Examiner performed and autopsy, and ruled the deaths homicides.

The criminal complaint indicates Efrain Garcia-Sotelo admitted to police he killed his father and sister -- saying he had a "long-standing grudge" against his father for "always yelling at him" and he had a grudge against his sister because she was "sluttish" and not acting as a good mother.

Garcia-Sotelo told police he killed his sister on Monday, January 12th after the kids went to school -- stabbing her and then rolling her body into the closet, according to the complaint. Garcia Sotelo said he "knew he would get caught, but that it was the right thing to do."

On Thursday, January 15th, Garcia-Sotelo told police his father discovered his sister's body in the closet -- and that's when Garcia-Sotelo stabbed his father, police say.

Garcia-Sotelo's mother and nieces tried to stop him from stabbing his father, and were cut.

Police say Garcia-Sotelo told them the sleep he got in jail after killing his father and sister was "the best sleep he had in ten years."

Garcia-Sotelo's family members told FOX6 News they want no mercy for him as he made his initial court appearance Tuesday, January 20th.

As he entered the courtroom, he looked at his family and shook his head.

"Seeing him back there -- it's overwhelming," Yuliana Garcia said.

His family members sat in court and hoped for a high bail.

Bail was set at $250,000 cash -- not high enough for Yuliana Garcia.

"We don`t want him out of jail. We need him to stay in there because what he did is unexplainable. It's even more disgusting knowing why he did it. My uncle (Moses Garcia-Macias) was a really nice person -- always there to help out. (Martha Garcia) wasn't a slut. She had her kids. She took care of them from day one, and she was never away from them. We thank everybody out there who is helping us out, but I just really want you guys to stop donating money. We don`t want him to get out of jail. We need him to stay in there and pay for what he did," Yuliana Garcia said.

Family members say they want people to stop donating to the fund that was set up, because the money was supposed to send the victims' bodies to Mexico, but that is no longer occurring.

Garcia-Sotelo has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for January 28th.
