Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin names new president, CEO

Charles McLimans



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin announced on Wednesday, January 21st that Charles McLimans will become the organization's new president and CEO. McLimans succeeds Bonnie Bellehumeur, who retired at the end of the year. McLimans will be responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the food bank.

In a statement released to the media, McLimans said:

"I am thrilled to bring my experience and passion for fighting hunger to the next level of impact in my home state of Wisconsin. It is a true honor to lead such an important organization as Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in the vital work of ending hunger and providing hope to families, so that no one goes hungry. I am here to serve and strengthen our 800 partner agencies, and all the people we serve through our partnership by providing them with outstanding service and support. I look forward to making many new friendships and engaging all of eastern Wisconsin in our efforts to solve the problem of hunger in our communities."


According to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, McLimans is a native of Wisconsin, having grown up on a dairy farm in Grant County. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for his graduate level work in Spanish. His undergraduate degree is from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. An avid Packers fan, he’s happy to be back in his home state.
