MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has released its report on Dustin Strzelecki -- the 21-year-old UW-Milwaukee student who died Wednesday evening, January 21st -- just over a week after he fell 20 feet over a railing at Bayshore Town Center -- suffering a severe brain injury and other injuries.

The Medical Examiner has determined Strzelecki died as a result of "multiple blunt force injuries." His death has been ruled an accident.

The fall occurred on Monday evening, January 12th.

Strzelecki fell over a banister he was going to slide down. Flight for Life was called to Bayshore Town Center, and Strzelecki was flown to Froedtert Hospital.

The Medical Examiner's report says Strzelecki was at Bayshore for a work party -- where he had been drinking some beers and about four Long Island Iced Teas. According to a police report and numerous witness statements, Strzelecki accidentally fell as he attempted to slide down the top rail of a banister. He fell nearly 20 feet.

Strzelecki was attending UW-Milwaukee, studying to be an engineer, according to the report.

Dustin’s mother, Julia Strzelecki released the following statement in the wake of her son’s death:

“His life and death will not be in vain, we will honor him and hope to hope to help others through him. We are beyond words with filled hearts and thankfulness to everyone, friends and strangers across the U.S. who have reached out in support of him & our family. We will be forever thankful & blessed.”
