12-year-old boy suffers "significant" injuries after crashing snowmobile in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- A 12-year-old boy was injured in a snowmobile crash in Mount Pleasant.

Officials say they found the boy in a field near 97th Street and the Canadian Pacific Railroad tracks.

The boy was apparently alone on the snowmobile, and he was thrown from it when he crashed.

He was taken to the hospital by Flight for Life.

Officials say the boy suffered "significant" injuries.
