Two from Sheboygan face serious charges including burglary, battery & more

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- 18-year-old Dakota Hartl and 17-year-old Sean Kuck, both of Sheboygan, face multiple charges in connection with a burglary that happened on Lenz Court on the evening of Monday, February 9th.

Sean Kuck

Kuck faces the following criminal charges in this case: Burglary - commit battery to person, misdemeanor battery, possession of THC, possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon. Hartl is charged with burglary and misdemeanor bail jumping.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim in this case came home just before 10 p.m. on Monday -- and noticed "there was a car in the driveway and she suspected that someone had broken into her house." When the victim went into her house, she told police Kuck and Hartl were inside -- and she began yelling for them to get out. The complaint indicates the victim saw Kuck holding a green bag and wearing a rosary owned by the victim.

When the victim confronted Kuck and Hartl, the complaint says Kuck pushed the victim "down the stairs of her residence." Kuck also punched an acquaintance of the victim -- knocking him down the stairs.

Dakota Hartl

The complaint indicates the victim ran outside to call police -- and then returned. Hartl was still inside.

Once police arrived, they took Kuck into custody -- Hartl was apprehended a short distance away. When police searched Kuck, the complaint indicates they found a "pair of brass knuckles" in his pants. Officers also found a baggie with what police determined was marijuana -- as well as three Xanax pills.

If convicted, Kuck faces up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. Hartl faces up to 12-and-a-half years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
