Woman accused of driving drunk, crashing car into pole, all with child in vehicle

Tiffany Green

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (WITI) -- A 43-year-old Sheboygan woman is accused of driving drunk with her child in the car. Tiffany Green faces the following charges in connection with this case: operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (2nd offense) and operating a motor vehicle while revoked.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to investigate a hit-and-run crash at 12th and North in Sheboygan just after 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 12th. When they arrived on the scene, they found a car "crashed into a pole." But there was nobody inside the vehicle.

The complaint indicates another officer found Green and her child a short distance from the crash. The child had a "chipped tooth and was bleeding from (the) mouth. The defendant was also bleeding." The complaint says Green "admitted that she was the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the pole. She stated that she had picked up her (child) from school when she crashed into the pole. She indicated that she did have alcohol. She also indicated that she had taken some prescription medication."

Green and her child were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries -- and police conducted a sobriety test on Green. After failing those tests, Green was placed under arrest.

If convicted, Green faces up to a year in prison and $2,200 in fines.
