"We will put his killer to justice:" A family pleads for answers in shooting death of Brandon Turner



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Shot and left in the middle of the street and his killer is still on the loose. 25-year-old Brandon Turner was killed Tuesday morning, February 24th -- tonight, his family mourns his loss and hope the crime will be solved soon.

Brandon Turner's mother tells FOX6 News she went to bed thinking he'd be home soon, but he never came back. The family believes they key to solving the crime, will be help from the public.

Faith can support us, it can strengthen us. And when we need it most, it can hold us together.

A family gathers at the scene of a deadly shooting.

"I had to look at my son's blood in the street. I wouldn't leave a dog like that," said Kim Harris, Brandon's mother.

Harris is determined to find out who killed her son Brandon Turner, and why.

"I never thought I would be here saying I have to bury my son," said Harris.

Early Tuesday, around 1:30 a.m., Turner was found shot to death in the middle of the street.

His family says he does not live in this part of the city, but may have been traveling with friends.

They have a simple plea:

"I'm sure somebody knows something. See something. Heard something. Overhear people talk about it. And we just asking somebody to come forward," said Harris.

As they try and piece together his last moments, on this night his life is remembered.

Tears, illuminating memories of a 25-year-old father, who was due to welcome his second son in just months.

This family may be devastated, but they are not broken. They have faith justice will be delivered.

"We will put his killer to justice," said a mourner.
