"Get Lucky!" Wisconsin Humane Society, MADACC team up for "St. Pitties Day" promotion

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) and Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) are excited to announce their “Get Lucky” joint adoption promotion in honor of St. “Pitties” Day, which will run through March 31st.  Adoption fees are just $17 for adult dogs (6 months+) identified as pit bull type dogs or bully breeds.

This event is an extension of MADACC’s very successful “Pit Bull Proud” program which promotes the adoption of the many wonderful pit bull terriers waiting for new homes at both MADACC and WHS. Despite national educational programs and a broader acceptance that pit bull terriers are just like every other breed of dog, many adopters are unaware of how many dogs are looking for forever homes and what great companions they are for all different types of families and individuals.

“Get Lucky” is named after a special dog at MADACC waiting for his lucky adoption day! He has lots of friends looking to get lucky this month and find homes that they can call their own. WHS and MADACC have male and female dogs of all ages, sizes, activity levels, and appearance who range all over the cuteness scale.

Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to “Get Lucky” and find your Pit O’ Gold at the end of the rainbow. Stop in at WHS or MADACC and meet your best friend today!
