Drivers take note: Another ramp in Zoo Interchange to shut down for seven days

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- The US 45 southbound to I-94 westbound system ramp in the Zoo Interchange will close for a seven-day period beginning Thursday, March 26th and reopening Thursday, April 2nd.

The ramp needs to close to facilitate remaining construction of a temporary roadway that traffic will be shifted to following the closure.

"We need to make a new connection for this system onto the westbound lanes and (Wednesday night) we start making that change and then the contractor will start making that temporary roadway from the southbound to westbound ramp," Mark Klipstein with the Wisconsin DOT said.

Capitol Drive westbound is a good alternate route during this closure. Traffic can also utilize either Watertown Plank Road or Greenfield Avenue to WIS 100 to I-94 westbound during the closure.
