"As long as the Badgers are winning" Milwaukee bars prepare for a big Bucky crowd

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- You usually see a packed street near Old World Third Street on a Saturday night, but tomorrow bars are expecting a flood of fans. There is excitement in the air, for the big game.

Everyone is excited it's going to be big. Possibly the season every Badgers fan has been waiting for.

"I think with the seniors we've got playing, it's going to be good," said Julie Bonnell, Badger fan.

Bonnell will be watching the Admirals' game Friday, but Saturday it's all about Bucky.

"If there's a win, this place is gonna go nuts," said Bonnell.

The general manager of Upper 90 Sports Pub near Old World Third Street says business goes from good to great. He's ready for a packed house Saturday night.

"We have to turn away people because we're at capacity. We don't really have to do that all that often. It's a good problem to have. But it's, I can't even describe the kind of crowd that it is because it's so much fun and it's so busy -- but everyone's having a good time, as long as the Badgers are winning," said Upper 90 Sports Pub General Manager, Dan Moore.

Saturday, all eyes will be watching from a packed bar.

"The Badgers fan come out of the woodwork, everyone's on the bandwagon now," said Moore.

A bandwagon that's being felt everywhere.

At the Green and Gold Zone, Badgers gear has come and gone quickly.

"We actually sold out of everything. So there's no Final Four stuff left," said Ben Braden, works at Green and Gold Zone.

The anticipation is growing hopeful that Saturday will be what everyone knew it could be.

"Praying for a win, praying for a win," said Bonnell.

If you are planning on heading out to a local establishment for the game, get there early -- you can bet they will fill up pretty quickly.
