ESPN: J.J. Watt signs deal with Reebok to make his on-field shoe and to outfit him

HOUSTON (WITI) -- J.J. Watt, a defensive end for the Houston Texans, a Pewaukee High School alumnus and former Wisconsin Badgers standout has signed a deal with Reebok to make his on-field shoe and to outfit him during his intense training and workout regime, ESPN reported.

Watt announced the deal on social media and posted a video of him breaking his personal record in the “box jump.” He reached a height of 5 feet, 1 inch in Reebok’s ZPump Fusion shoes.

Watt said the Reebok deal allows him to be more in control of what he wears. He said has been working with Reebok to tweak his cleats to better address strengths and weaknesses.

Watt’s other endorsement deals include Gatorade, H-E-B and Madison-based American Family Insurance.

Terms of Reebok’s deal with Watt were not immediately available.
