Jobs: Meijer seeks to fill openings at two new stores in SE Wisconsin

OAK CREEK (WITI) -- Two new Meijer retail stores are opening soon in Oak Creek and Wauwatosa. Now, the grocer is looking to fill dozens of positions.

To that end, Meijer is holding informational sessions for job openings at the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, 2342 N. 27th St., on Wednesday, April 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Meijer is seeking sales floor associates, utility workers, cashiers and clerks. Requirements for the positions include availability to work holidays/weekends/overtime when needed, punctual with good attendance, honesty, good communication skills, and physically capable of performing the duties of the positions.

Additionally, a construction trades job fair (for positions such as finish carpentry, tiling, flooring, landscaping, asphalt paving, painting and acoustical ceiling) will also take place at MAWIB on Wednesday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
