Milwaukee police squad involved in accident near 27th & Center; cause under investigation

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday, April 22nd after a Milwaukee Police Department squad car collided with a van.

It happened shortly before 10 a.m. near N. 27th and W. Center.

Authorities tell FOX6 News the police squad was traveling southbound on Fond du Lac, turning eastbound onto W. Center, when it collided with a van traveling northbound on N. 27th.

One occupant of the van was conveyed to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

There were two officers in the squad. One was conveyed to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The other officer was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
