Four suspects, including 12-year-old boy, arrested for attempted armed robbery

MILWAUKEE (WITI) --  Milwaukee police arrested four suspects, including a 12-year-old boy, for their roles in an attempted armed robbery.

District Seven officers responded to a neighborhood just northeast of 60th and Burleigh shortly before 10:00 a.m. on April 26 for a report of an attempted armed robbery. The victim, a 37-year-old woman from Milwaukee, said she had just parked her car when four suspects walked up to her, one of the suspects pointed a gun at her and told her to get out of the car.The victim refused and the suspects fled from the scene.

Responding officers located the suspects in the neighborhood and took all four of them into custody. The suspects are a 12-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, and a 24-year-old man, all from Milwaukee.

A BB gun was found on the 12-year-old suspect. One of the suspects admitted that the group also tried to rob a victim earlier that day in the same area. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
