Police: 13-year-old boy, two men arrested for two separate armed robberies

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police officers on Sunday, April 26th were able to arrest three suspects wanted in two separate armed robberies occurring on the city's north side.

Officers responded to the Big Lots store at 362 E. Capitol Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Employees said three suspects entered the business, stole a radio speaker, and waved a gun in the air before fleeing on foot.

As officers searched the area for the suspects, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man approached them and said he was just robbed by three suspects, one of them with a gun, in the 3900 block of N. Richards Street.

The description of the suspects in the second armed robbery matched that of those who robbed the Big Lots.

At about 12:50 p.m. officers saw the suspects near N. Richards Street and W. Keefe Avenue and took them into custody.

One of the suspects had a backpack that was stolen from the 27-year-old victim, the speaker stolen from Big Lots, and a BB gun. The suspects are a 13-year-old boy, an 18-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Milwaukee.

The 23-year-old is a convicted felon stemming from a 2009 armed robbery case.

Charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
