MEQUON (WITI) — Detectives from the Mequon Police Department followed up on tips received from the public — and identified a suspect in the robbery of a Mobil gas station on Sunday, May 17th.

That suspect is now in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on unrelated charges. A request for charges regarding the North Shore Mobil robbery will be forwarded to the Ozaukee County District Attorney’s Office early next week.

Officials say the public was instrumental in identifying the suspect in this case — as well as the suspect involved in the robbery of the North Shore BP on March 3rd.

The Mequon Police Department is also investigating a robbery at the US Bank branch on N. Port Washington Rd. which occurred on April 23rd. If you have information that could help in their investigation, you’re urged to contact the Mequon Police Department at 262-242-3500.
