More than 100 employers to take part in Career Expo at State Fair Park; job seekers must register

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Looking for a job? Job seekers are encouraged to register for a Career Expo planned at State Fair Park next Thursday, May 28th. More than 100 employers are expected to take part -- with more than 2,000 job openings currently available.

IMPORTANT: You must REGISTER in advance and receive a ticket for the event.

The Career Expo is only open to employers with current job openings and job candidates who register and have been pre-screened for work readiness.

Attendance will be limited to U.S. military veterans at 10:30 a.m.

The general public will be admitted at 11 a.m., and the Career Expo runs through 3:00 p.m.

"What I've experienced is individuals who are frustrated because they can't find jobs and employers who are frustrated because they can't find employees. So we're trying to be the matchmaker to bring them together," Mayor Barrett said.

Entry-level through advanced positions are available in many industries. Highlights include:
