MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A citizen witness helped Milwaukee police find and arrest a teenage suspect wanted for attempted robbery on Saturday, May 23rd.

Officers responded to the neighborhood near US 45 and Hampton Ave. around 3:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of an attempted strong armed robbery. The victim, a 58-year-old Milwaukee man, told officers he was approached by a suspect who demanded his car keys. The victim refused and the suspect began striking him before he eventually fled on foot.

A witness saw the crime take place and followed the suspect in his vehicle while giving updates to the officers.

The suspect, a 17-year-old Milwaukee man, was located a few blocks away and taken into custody.

Charges will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.

The witness should have run the suspect over with his car like that officer did in Texas. That would make certain the sh*tbag didn’t get away…
