Operation School's Out kicks off, Police Chief Flynn conducts annual roll call

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn conducted his annual roll call in conjunction with the beginning of Operation School’s Out on Tuesday morning, June 9th.

The roll call took place outside James Madison Academic Campus on Florist Avenue.

Operation School’s Out coincides with the last week of classes for many Milwaukee Public School students.

Officials with the Milwaukee Police Department and its Office of Community Outreach and Education say they will have a proactive presence around schools in the final days of the school year.

"We want to get  the summer off to a successful start and that begins with getting our high school students into their neighborhoods in a safe manner," Chief Flynn said.
