The Kids from Wisconsin, the state’s Musical Ambassadors of Goodwill, are ready for their 47th show season, and this brings a little “hometown flavor” as 33 talented KIDS represent 31 different hometowns across the state of Wisconsin.

The selected KIDS begin their season at show camp on June 7th,  where some of Wisconsin’s most talented youth will settle into the Tommy Thompson Youth Dorms at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds for 17 days of intense training.  The final result will be a two hour, fully staged, Broadway Style production that will be taken on the road this summer from June 24th through August 22nd.

Not only will these KIDS learn a two hour production, they will also be trained to teach a section of the performance to youngsters through the “Realize Your Dream” – a KIDS outreach experience. The first outreach experience is scheduled for a group of young students with First Stage Milwaukee on June 19th at 6:30 PM.  “Realize Your Dream” will offer each community that the KIDS travel, an opportunity for their youth to connect with the performing arts with a mentoring/learning session from the talented KIDS from Wisconsin.

On June 24th  the performance will be unveiled and ready for public viewing at the Premier Performance held at West Allis Central Auditorium.  Tickets are available at: www.kidsfromwisconsin.org, along with more than 50 other locations across the State that you can see the KIDS, including performances twice daily at the Wisconsin State Fair.
